Event Details

Divergent Hackathons 2025–26 are youth-driven, project-based events that empower high school students to take on real-world challenges in STEM, creativity, and leadership. Hosted at Microsoft facilities across 15 cities, these hackathons unite students, mentors, and community leaders through internships, coaching, and a youth-led execution model. With 100 students per city and a National Championship in Washington, D.C. (June 2026), Divergent Hackathons inspire innovation, teamwork, and community impact on a national scale.

Through NEKK SEVA Mandara’s deep community roots and Divergent Teams’ expertise in project-based leadership and hackathon design, students gain meaningful opportunities to address real-world challenges using technology and teamwork.

Hackathon Tracks

Our hackathon features three exciting project tracks: Sustainability, Health & Wellness, and General. Each track is designed to inspire creativity and address real-world challenges, empowering students to make a positive impact through technology. Participants can choose the track that aligns with their interests and passions:

Sustainability

If you’re passionate about tackling environmental challenges, this is the track for you. Focus on solutions like renewable energy innovations, waste reduction strategies, or technologies to combat climate change. Help create a sustainable future with your unique ideas.

Health & Wellness

Choose this track to work on projects that improve physical and mental health. From fitness apps to stress management tools or innovations in healthcare accessibility, this category is ideal for participants driven to make a positive impact and promote societal well-being.

General

Do you have a great idea that doesn’t fit the other categories? The general track is your playground for innovation. From groundbreaking apps to entirely original concepts, this category welcomes all creative and impactful projects.

Cybersecurity
