A Recognition of Student-Led Innovation
Divergent Teams was honored with a Certificate of Recognition from the City of New York on August 12, 2026, in recognition of its Project-Based Leadership and Youth Innovation Day.
The certificate recognized Divergent Teams for its efforts to empower high school students across New York City’s five boroughs and beyond by creating opportunities to apply their knowledge in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to identify and develop solutions to real-world challenges.
The recognition also celebrated the next generation of talented New Yorkers and the importance of ensuring that New York City remains an accessible and prosperous place for all.
For us, this recognition is meaningful because it reinforces something we deeply believe:
